I watched Star Trek last last weekend. I got out of theatre with a headache. No, the movie wasn't bad. It was an actual headache. I knew I was going to get sick. So I went home, took some Biogesic (uy, plugging) and slept. During the night, I had an exteremly high fever which I knew was coming. What I didn't expect was the sharp pain I felt at the right side of my stomache.
This is the first and probably the last time, I'm posting this kind of blog so I'm going all out. Anyways, the fever held be back a day. I was bedridden and couldn't really get up. I couldn't taste anything so I gave up on trying to eat any of the stuff they cooked up for lunch or dinner. Then, it was gone. All that was left was a general feeling of unwellness and that pain in the right side of my stomache. And I still couldn't eat.
I figured it would go away on it's own but Friday came and I still didn't feel well enough to go to work. So my Mom finally dragged me out of the house to see a doctor. If you know me, you'd probably noticed this already. I've got a thing for hospitals. I generally don't like them. All the poking and prodding, I don't like it. Getting the IV line. Geting your blood work done. Having painful skin tests for allergies. For a place that supposed cure people's pain, it sure gives you a couple of its own.
Yep. I was committed-I mean admitted.... again. If you remember, about the same time last year, I had surgery to remove an inflammed gallbladder. Well this time, it's for a ruptured appendix. What the hell. I hope this doesn't turn into an annual thing. I got no more spare parts to give.
If you're reading this, that means I'm already dead. Joke. I'm not dead or dying... at least not yet. If you're reading this, then thank you for your concern. If you don't feel concerned at all, then: may you suffer as I suffer. I'm back from the hospital and it hurts just trying to stand up, cough, sneeze or even laugh. I didn't even mention the post-op.
P.S. I can't believe that a CT Scan plus Sonogram costs forty thousand pesos. That is just too much to spend on a single laboratory test. I mean, they do this kind of test on HOUSE all the time!
